free the art
today i painted a canvas at an Amnesty International drive on K Road... i depicted a renown artist who has been detained under unusal circumstances in his home country. as his supporters are finding their emails etc hacked from that country, call me a coward but i'm not naming him in this post cos i don't wanna go that way! the canvas is up for auction at Amnesty's exhibition next thursday. see ya there

recent art by me
I've been so engrossed in archeo-astronomy pseudo-history, I've neglected to post up any of my recent work... so here ya go.
firstly, a piece which i left unfinished for 2 months, finally got back yesterday and ended it. boom! Thanks for the spot Navs and for the advice on fuel combustion.

These next flicks are of the back part and toilets of intimate Ponsonby bar "Julep", all prohibiton-era theme artwork. complicated job but very happy with results! cheers Phil

here's a commissioned Valentines Day canvas for a friend, Betty Boop with her hairdo. Painted with brushes, erk!
More brush painting: this time on a fibreglass horse for the wonderful Fastest Art Charity Auction, raising money for various charities, check the link for the other entries. Great stuff Auckland. This one here is "by" my homies the Vodafone Warriors, I "helped" ;)

latest artings
hi! This is a lil' canvas i just painted for local band Easy who want to display it somehow at their gig tomorrow nite at Rakinos. i think

This next one is a dodgy reversed mirror photo of a T shirt with design i did for local band Batucada Sound Machine a lil' while ago but just recieved
these two walls are the result of a workshop i did way out at Alphriston College, which is near the Auckland Botanic Gardens and a Totora forest which i never new existed.

good things come on shipping pallets
you may remember back in the misty early days of this blog, we won a graffiti battle... well guess what, 2 years later our prize finally arrived! Elliot seen here caressing a can of "Loomi'ts Aubergine"

i just got back from a blustery week in Windytown. behold the pictures i painted, starting with this canvas for my friends the Buckleys:

fat cap power! Spent the week painting more Hell's Pizza stores, even a detour to Palmy.
