can't deny this economic downturn... even doe its all based on speculation, the reality is right here.
ALT TV had its grand relaunch this week and we had our first show back on monday, then just yesterday the plug was pulled on the station and it's off air. there are hopes to revive it but don't hold your breath!

on that sour note, the plug has also been pulled on the write4gold world graf battle, due to lack of $ its scaled back to a European nation-only final this year so my overseas freinds, won't be seeing you as soon as i'd hoped :(

but anway i'm still feeling :) cos the night is always darkest right before the dawn, crisis precipitates change, crisis also means opportunity etc etc

back on the TV

after over 2 months of bureaucratic turmoil, ALT TV on sky 65 (or alttv.co.nz) is back on the air.
last nite was our first show back, all the deets about the show are on our website
we got told off by the new station manager for playing videos that we have ripped off the net, dum! so now its all legit

i've been working all day on a Creative NZ proposal, takes me back to frantically writing last minute school assignments! no, i never went to uni, heh.
anyway, perusing the net for support material i came across this vid. Remember when i was in Venice last year? prolly not as well as i do. this was jam i went to, i'm in part1 at 6'03" or so

here's a piece i painted to feature in the TMD book.
my dear friend Askew is putting it all together, and he said this piece is not up to standard! he's right doe... the letters are weak :(

have u been to Spookers? its like this pretend haunted house amusement attraction, its awesome... located in an abandoned mental hospital south of Auckland. Part of it is this 3D maze where me, lil' Elliot, Slope and Askew painted all the 3D artwork couple years back. They got this system with UV lights (blacklights) and special full spectrum glasses that make the pictures pop off the wall, its pretty nuts and top secret paint technology!

we were back today to add a new room, the scary chapel. we decided to go all antichrist stained glass window style on it!
its all just a bit of fun doe ay, i'm not really like that... honest to Dyle!


anyway, its always fun chanting praise to the dark lord whilst painting a pentagram around yourself on the floor in a dark room in a haunted abandoned mental hospital. Just another day in the office :)

i had a look tonite at crew meetin at what the other boys n gals have been doin for it, omg u gon love it.

whilst painting today, met a kid from Melbourne who had fled the city after being stabbed in the neck over some graf beef?! cool scars doe!
above where my piece is, there was this lovely composition of Auckland "straights" (generic local tag styles). a plague to the city yet stylee in their own right


just nice to see em all tidily fitting in, pleasing my asthetic calligraphic sensibilities... not going over each other... cos we can see where that can lead
